This avoids the overhead of modifying a transform twice.

Transform once, not twiceĪdditionally, when moving Transforms, use Transform.SetPositionAndRotation to update both position and rotation at once. See Optimizing the Hierarchy and this Unite talk for best practices with Transforms. Complex hierarchies incur unnecessary Transform computations and more cost to garbage collection. Smaller hierarchies benefit from multithreading to refresh the Transforms in your scene. If your GameObjects do not need to be nested in a hierarchy, simplify the parenting. For example, you could drop below 30 fps for slow or relatively static scenes and reserve higher fps settings for gameplay. You can also adjust the frame rate dynamically during runtime with Application.targetFrameRate.
Instead of pushing the limits of your device at 60 fps, consider running at 30 fps as a compromise. Mobile projects must balance frame rates against battery life and thermal throttling. These will just slow down your application with no discernible benefit. If your game is not using physics, uncheck Auto Simulation and Auto Sync Transforms. In the Quality settings, disable needless Quality levels. Disable Target Architectures for older CPUs if your application is not supporting them. In the Player settings, disable Auto Graphics API for unsupported platforms to prevent generating excessive shader variants.

In case you missed them, check out our previous posts on profiling, memory, and code architecture, as well as physics, UI, and audio, for a more complete picture of how to optimize your game – or, download the free e-book for a rundown of all these topics.ĭisable unnecessary Player or Quality settings In the final installment of this optimization series, we focus on how to improve the performance of your assets, project configuration, and graphics. Instead, we decided to turn their mountain of knowledge into a full-length e-book (which you can download here), as well as a series of blog posts that spotlight some of these 75+ actionable tips. In their work, they dive deep into creator projects to help identify points where performance could be optimized for greater speed, stability, and efficiency.Īs our engineers began to share their insight on mobile game optimization, we pretty quickly realized that there was way too much great information for the single blog post we had planned. Our Accelerate Solutions team knows the source code inside out and works with a plethora of Unity customers to help them get the most out of the engine.

We sat down with this team of senior software engineers and asked them to share some of their expertise on mobile game optimization. Remember to share it with fellow LOL Gamers. Our Integrated Success team supports Unity customers with their complex technical issues. I hope you liked the article on League of legends graphics settings.

If not you need to buy a new system or upgrade the existing one.

If you still are unable to get the lag-free gameplay you need, you can try to optimize windows 10 for gaming. You have successfully optimized League of Legends for MAX performance and FPS. You should see a performance boost in LOL. It can cause drastic FPS drops if your FPS drops below the monitor refresh rate. You need to disable anti-aliasingfor better performance and to get an FPS boost in LOL. You will get some jagged edges but there is no helping it. Otherwise, your system might have heating issues. I recommend setting it at the same value as your monitor refresh rate (60, 120, 144Hz), especially for laptops.įor systems, you can turn it off provided you have good cooling for your PC. Advanced Graphics Settings: Frame rate: MAX This is one of the graphics settings that has the highest impact on performance and FPS in League of Legends. This setting does make the game look pretty but gives no advantage in gameplay so I recommend lowering it for performance. Just like with effects quality, turn it to very low. Effects give no advantage in gameplay so I recommend lowering it to increase performance. If your game is still lagging on medium then you can switch to Low. This setting directly affects the character models in-game. You can get a better gaming experience compared to windowed. Windowed Mode: Fullscreenįull Screen is the best choice if you’re going for performance and gameplay. It affects the quality quite a bit, especially if you have a large monitor. You can reduce the resolution only as a last resort. Using your max monitor resolution is recommended for a better gameplay experience. Graphics Settings In League of Legends Resolution: Max Resolution Now, open the game so that we can set the in-game graphics settings to boost your FPS and performance. With this mode enabled, your client will use less power and your system will have more resources for League of Legends. Then, go to the general settings and “ enable low spec mode“ When you start the game launcher go to the settings.
